Hip Hop World Magazine is the biggest, most respected and most circulated music magazine in Nigeria. The magazine debuted in 1995 and has since grown from a 52-page newsprint magazine to an all-colour, all-gloss; 128-page entertainment reference journal that can stand proudly with any of its contemporaries published the world over.  The publication is also being sold in Ghana and some parts of the U.K. The magazine boasts of two hundred thousand subscribers and over three million pass-on readers. In line with the objective of our magazine which is to promote and report music and artistes in Nigeria without fear or favour, we decided to organize a music awards that will be a reference point in Nigeria and bring on the same value that has positioned the magazine as the number one in the country. The maiden edition of the event was held in 2006 at the Muson Centre in Lagos with the follow up editions, 2007 and 2008, held at the Muson Centre and Planet One Maryland respectively.  The Hip Hop World Awards is so far unparalleled with respect to its content, organization and delivery.  It has over the years enjoyed patronage from brands like MTN, Guinness, Virgin Nigeria, Red bull to mention only a few.

Hip TV was borne out of the need to create rich contents for music programmes other than playing videos. Having realized that little is known, especially about our local stars, it was imperative that we birthed a lifestyle package that will educate as well as inform the teeming music lovers who are always news and information crazy.
